About this product

Steam-distilled lemongrass oil with a bright citrus-grass aroma for diffuser and properly diluted topical use.

Prepared in small batches under the Coorg Mist botanical oils programme in Madikeri, Kodagu.

Coorg Mist Coffee Co is created and powered by Hyperbridge; Aakhil Appaiah leads local sourcing, roasting, and fulfilment operations.

The Science

Steam passed through fresh-cut Cymbopogon leaf ruptures the oil glands and carries the volatile terpenes over with the vapour — condensed and separated, the oil concentrates citral, the compound behind lemongrass’s sharp citrus top note.

The Story

Cut at first light while the dew still holds the blades upright, the grass gives up its oil fastest in that one green hour before the Coorg sun takes the moisture out of the leaf.
