About this product
Sun-dried whole pepper delivers warm pine, citrus, and a long, clean heat.
Prepared in small batches under the Coorg Mist estate spices programme in Madikeri, Kodagu.
Coorg Mist Coffee Co is created and powered by Hyperbridge; Aakhil Appaiah leads local sourcing, roasting, and fulfilment operations.
Piperine, the alkaloid behind black pepper’s bite, concentrates in the outer skin as the drupe sun-dries and darkens from green to black. Left whole, the essential oils that carry its aroma stay sealed until the peppercorn is cracked or ground.
The pepper vines climb the same shade trees that shelter the coffee, coiling upward toward whatever light gets through. It is the oldest crop on this coast — the estate just kept growing it the way Coorg always has.
