Coorg Mist Coffee
53:47 strong coffee and chicory blend
About this product
A bold 53:47 coffee-to-chicory recipe for a syrupy decoction that carries through a generous measure of hot milk.
Prepared in small batches under the Coorg Mist heritage filter programme in Madikeri, Kodagu.
Coorg Mist Coffee Co is created and powered by Hyperbridge; Aakhil Appaiah leads local sourcing, roasting, and fulfilment operations.
At a near-even coffee-to-chicory ratio, roasted chicory’s inulin-derived caramel notes and body dominate the decoction, while coffee supplies the acidity and caffeine backbone. The result is a thicker, more bitter-forward brew typical of old-school degree coffee served in steel tumblers.
The blend the elders in the house always asked for — dark, thick, unapologetic, poured tumbler to davarah until the froth held. Not for the faint-hearted before sunrise.
